You can't go to Publix "just to get a loaf of bread."
Similarly, you can't go to Hobby Lobby, Michael's, JoAnn's, Main Street Yarns or any other place with craft supplies "just to get a pair of size 8 circular needles."
Because things like this happen:
Yes, my friends, that's baby yarn.
Eight weensy little skeins of presumably lace-weight fiber-y goodness (not sure; I was so taken by cute that I didn't look) from Lion Brand Yarns. AND it's in rainbow colors.
My favorite thing to knit with? Bright colors.
My OCD's favorite thing? Rainbow order.
It's kismet. Or "kisknit," if you will.
I think I'm mostly just proud of myself that the baby yarn is the only impulse buy I managed to come away with this weekend. Anyway, I have no idea what I'm going to knit with these little darlings yet, but I have a feeling they'll end up being part of a rainbow-striped Skinni Minni scarf. Or a rainbow-striped stuffed animal. Oh, the decisions!
Sidenote: The needles that I found, which I really did need for a project, are this gorgeous copper color. Basically I'm in love with this entire purchase. :D
