But then I got a little distracted by BuzzFeed.
So therefore, for all of you who like pirates, please enjoy this photo of me with pirates at the recent National Cattlemen's Beef Association in Tampla, Fla., which was the numero uno reason why blog posts have been so spotty for the past couple of weeks.
Hopefully someone besides me reads my blog.
Then I decided (two hours and 435 BuzzFeeds later) to mimic one of my faaah-vorite blogs, CakeWrecks, and post some of my favorite yarn creations I've seen over the years.
Now that I started researching that, I'm uninspired.
Then I got the great idea of writing a poem. I made it two lines before getting distracted by a meowing kitten who wanted her litterbox emptied.
What I'm getting at is that I have blogger's block.
IS THAT EVEN A THING? Is it possible to have writer's block when you're not on an actual deadline, when you're not writing for a publication or a grade? When you're pretty sure only three other people read your blog but they also read your Facebook feed and your occasional tweets so they really are only reading this blog to support you and not because they find your knits inspiring?
Sigh.
I think I've just been reduced to the same level as the people who blog about their lives, which is usually just an extension of their 140-character-per-tweet limit.
I give up, guys. I'm going to go crack open a bottle of wine and knit a colorwork hat with a skull pattern and pink glitter motif.
That's almost pirate-y, right?
